First off - Awesome job Scott! Great enhancement to this mod!

I am wondering if you allow anonymouse people to leave comments, can they be moderated before they are actually posted on the site? I think as the site host I would, or whomever is the owner of the listing should get notified to approve it. And after the ananymous person leaves the comment they should receive an email or confirmation on the page saying that their comment has been submitted and needs approval.

Is their paging on comments - only allowing 5 or 10 or so per page. Or a limit on the number of characters?

We were chatting not to long ago about a calendar to list tradeshows and have them expire. I am just wondering if that is a possiblity? I am not in any rush or don't mean to push, just wondering if I need to come up with a different alternative if it is not possible with this module.

There will be options for moderated and disabling anonymous people commenting. Who should approve though? The owner or the approvers group?

No paging on comments at the moment, I would need to put some template work in for this, but it is possible.

For the calendar expiring events, the expiry date could be set and we sort by expiry date descending, would that work?

I needed to restrict Anonymous Users from posting Comments ....

So I just added the [ISINROLE:Registered Users] Token around the [COMMENTFORM] token and it restricts Anonymous Users from Posting ...

Works a treat

I used a [ISINROLE:Registered Users]Token as well.  I am not sure if there is another way.

Hi Scott,
I would be ok with either of them (owner or the approver group) being able to approve comments. If anything I might lean towards the approver group, because they could log in once every week or something and go through them all so the owner doesn't have to worry about it.

Yes, that would work perfect for the calendar :)

Scott,

Is there anyway to delete Anonymous comments? And/or how do I turn on moderation? I don't see the control for it.

Thanks,
Andrea

You can turn off anonymous comments in admin options, e.g. enable anonymous comments.

Do you want to turn on moderation for all comments or just anonymous ones?

Well for my purposes on this project we only have anonymous comments...but I can see wanting to moderate all for future projects.

Thanks for your prompt reply!

Andrea
