Hi
Just a little senerio to see if i can generate any good ideas.
I have built a business listing section on my website using property agent and it works quite well. But i have a number of small isues to do with my eventual "charging" for customer listings.
First of all i thought that i could use the subscription module to allow businesses to signup for a years access to the "add new Listing" and "Listing manager" facility. So i configured property agent to allow "submit" access to the built in subscriber role in DNN.
That seems to work fine, however i have since then decided to have paid featured listings and free basic listings. Now there are a number of problems with this requirment and the property agent module.
First of all i would need to add two different subscription packages, one for £50 a year which would be the featured listing and another which would be free. This is the first proplem is that if one adds a free package to the subscription module it will still send the user to pay pal. There seems to be no way of setting a free subscription.
The second problem i have is conguring the "featured" facility in the property manager. Becuase if anybody signs up for a featured listing they will have to make sure they check the featured checkbox. I suppose i could write a message besides it.
And how then would i configure this for a basic record for free!
I suppose the questions i am asking is:
Does the subscription module add the user to the dnn subscribers role automatically?
How could i configure a free access role using property agent and the subscription module?
Thanks for any suggestions or comments. Anyone done anything simailar another way
thanks
