Is there a way of showing the list view of the properties as the landing page instead of the search and property types?
I really dont have property types (just one), so rather than display a link they have to click on to see a list, Id rather them to just see the list. |

You can turn off the types and search on the landing page, but you would only have the featured modules section, which wouldn't display non-featured.
Your other option is to use the "Property Agent Latest" module to display the latest properties elsewhere and have it link accross.
It has been suggested that a latest properties should also be added to the landing page (configurable) as well. At the moment, it's only available through the companion module. |

I have a follow up question about the landing page. I want to display
search to the top, the types on the right hand side (below the search)
and the list view of all the properties on the left hand side on the
landing page. How do I go about this configuration? |

| This isn't really possible without directly modifying the ascx file |

Alright. The problem with that is that I want to use this product for three uses, job listing, classifieds and Real estate. Is there a way to create a different ASCX for each template? |

| Unfortunately not, the layout is configurable but for each section rather then the total layout of the landing page. |

The problem is the module does everything I want it to do, Exactly. I just want to adjust the layout so that it will be easy for the site users to browse. Upon further assesment I would want the search on the top of all pages in the module, not just the landing page, and the Types on the side of every page.
My other problem is that I want to use this module for three types of listings, classifieds, real estate and a job listing. If I must edit the ASCX files to get the layout I want, is there a way to make an ASCX file for each template? |

| Unfortunately not, why not use the property agent search module and place it at the top of each page? I could probably make a types module that you could place at the right of each page too. |

You can do the search module today. I'm half way through a geocoding enhancement before I can look at this (at least a week) What is the landing page going to have on it though if the navigation is on the top and right hand side? You could probably just display feature items by default in it. (until you navigate via search or type selection) |

Or, is there any way I can put the types mpdule in place, until you get around to it? |

| No because it's not a separate module |

The design is really for ease of my site's users. What I would want to do is use the search module to the top - dnn topPane. I will have the Types in the LeftPane and the landing page/ main module will be in the content pane. I think with that there is enough flexibilty with the module to get it the way I want with that. A week is not too bad, I will go ahead developing my templates with your module. And wait for the Types module. |

As scott was saying you can have the search anywhere you want by using the search module. i have to say that I suspect the that a types module wold be useful, but you are the only person that I have seen that has asked for it. The types work quite well because you can move them to any position, either up or down. So you can have them at the bottom, top or middle. |

I would also like to see things in PA seperated a bit. A satelite module for types would be a great start. Also - a property details or "view" module would be nice too. So you would execute a search from either the main search module, or a satellite module. Clicking on the results would take you to a new tab, with a view modules on it. This would display the template for the property view. Why? Well, many times you might want to place additional modules on the detail view page that are not appropriate on the main module page For example, on the detail view page it might be useful to place links to related pages, or content that is specific to detail views. With everything in one module you can't really pull off highly customized presentations. |

to respond to Albertramsbottom, Firstly, I do agree with Scott's suggestion. I just didn't look at the design like that, the satellite types will be fine and solve all the issues that I have. Unfortunately simply organizing the module vertically will not do it for me, I want the clients to see layout similar to what they are accustomed to. Most listings, including shopping carts, do have the search to the top and the types (categouries) to the side. I simply want to maintian that for greater user acceptance.
