hi,
I have a problem with my homepage because it has been indexed two times by google..
1) Home.aspx
2) Default.aspx
I use Ventrian friendly URL.
How Can I solve my problem? redirect 301?

| This isn't inbuilt to the module, but maybe part of the core now, there is the ifinity module which is an extension of the initial friendly url project, it does support 301 redirects. |

Hi, I have founded a solution without any cost.
www.urlrewriting.net/116/de/home.html
redirect 301 from default.aspx to home.aspx and redirect mywebsite.com to www.mywebsite.com
and google crawler is more happy! |

The simplest way I think is just not to use [Logo] Skinobject. And disallow google bot on default.aspx in robot.txt
Btw, Scott, ventrian.com has the same problem also.
Besure to check the /home/tabid/36/Default.aspx also. |

They have a very slick low cost module for SEO. It allows rewriting tabs, redirecting all unfriendly urls to 301 in one click, rewrites the register, login, terms, and privacy to eliminate duplicate content. Their SiteMap creates a very clean site map for Google with all the new friendly urls - including all of the News Article pages, UVG pages, forums, etc. again all in one click. Their membership which is very low cost includes this and another couple dozen cool management modules. Definitely worth a look.
After using their SEO I was able to create a robots.txt file with less than a dozen lines and I no longer have any duplicate content issues and all my sites have climbed nicely in the search engines.

Hi All,
Just checked my google webmasters account and realized that it doesn't like the format of the News Article pages in my site map. Anyone know a work around for this? All of my urls look as follows:
/newsarticles.aspx?articleType=ArticleView&articleId=1
Is there a shortcut or more abbreviated version of the news articles url that is site map friendly?
