Hello,

I think there is a big problem: when I'm trying to search (using standard dnn search engine) for a word that contains Polish letters like "Aktulaności" I see 404 error.

The URL looks like this:

http://www.skierniewice.com.pl/Wyszukiwanie.aspx?Search=Aktualno%c5%9bci

If I'm trying to type the same word in for example www.dotnetnuke.com, URL looks like this:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Home/SearchResults/tabid/710/Default.aspx?Search=Aktualno%c5%9bci

Polish letter is changed with the same method, but there is no 404. So I think the only reason of 404 is Friendly Url provider.

Could You do something with it, because Polish people use this letters all the time in almost every word. This bug causes complete elimination of Search in our portals.

Thanks and best regards!

Karol Kossut

What version of DNN? Are you using the core provider now?

A'm afraid I have more bad news for You. After today's upgrade to the newest version of HFU I've lost whole search engine (empty search results, if type word contains non-Polish characters). After I have returned to the previous version of HFU, I have search results back. But of course I still can't type Polish letters.

We are aware of the issue, when you say latest version are you talking DNN 4.7 and the core provider?

I don't know what HFU is.

Should I replace the DotNetNuke.HttpModules.UrlRewrite.dll with 4.7 or upgrade my whole DNN to 4.7 ?

You should upgrade to 4.7 and then turn urlFormat="HumanFriendly" on in the provider (the core provider), no need to get updates from this site.
