Hi Scott

I keep seeing heaps of this error message  the Log Viewer :

UrlRewriter.RewriterConfiguration: GetConfig Failed
FilePath:
ExceptionMessage: Unable to cast object of type 'Ventrian.FriendlyUrl.Config.RewriterConfiguration' to type 'DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Config.RewriterConfiguration'.
Server Name:

Any ideas how I should resolve this ? I am using dnn4.5.5 with the latest Friedly URL .

btw - Friendly URL does appear to work fine though

You should use the one in the core now - DNN 4.7.0

Add urlFormat="HumanFriendly" in the config section of the provider.

Hey Scott

For DNN 4.7.0 and up this error is caused by the fact that you have custom config classes that do not inherit from the classes in the DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Config namespace. I suggest changing this in your next release.

One of the side affects of this problem is that you can't edit the Friendly Url Settings on the Host Settings page. Changing the module as I suggest fixes this problem too.

Friendly Urls is in DNN 4.7+

You just need to add the urlFormat="Friendly" to the core provider.
