Hello

I have upgraded 2 sites to DNN 4.5.5 and my friendly URL's are no longer friendly, e.g.

On one of my sites the default home page ends in:

 tabid/36/default.aspx
or
Default.aspx?base

In another site the domain name is repeated several times within the same URL e.g.

www.mydomainname.com/myCustomPageName/www.mydomainname.com/www.mydomainname.com

Any suggestions?

Hmm, I'll need to investigate - I haven't done any tests in 4.5.5

Hmmm... I have 10 sites running on DNN 4.5.5 without any issue regarding friendly URLs.

Is it possible that you overwrote the dll file during install?

Yes I thought that I might have overwrote the dll file too, so I FTP'd a fresh dll file several days ago.

 However, the latest version I see is for DNN 4.3.4.  Are you using this version?

Yes, this site is running DNN 4.5.5 and uses the friendly url provider for DNN 4.3.4 +

Hello

I think I have found the solution the /Default.aspx?base is due to a DNN bad hack to fix the logo showing up on the Casini web server. For more information:

The problem can also be fixed by using Snapsis.Pageblaster.

Thanks for sharing the fix. The URL rewriter could also probably remove it, if you added a regex rule in host -> host settings.
