I'm trying to optimize my content. And for both URLWrite module and Friendly URL options dont have ability to display Turkish characters in url's correctly.

I think this is not an issue about DNN, but i believe you may provide a  solution for us.

For example my real ur for news articles example article is

DotNetnuke 4.4.1 yayinlandi. But i character is different than default i one we have both i characters one of them is i as same in English but small i is small i like in Turkey alphabet. But capital i is in your alphabet I and in our alphabet I (but above a dot on it , e.g İ)

http://localhost/discount/Blog/tabid/72/ctl/ArticleView/mid/417/articleId/3/DotNetNuke-441-Yaynland.aspx
http://localhost/discount/Blog/tabid/72/ctl/ArticleView/mid/417/articleId/3/DotNetNuke-441-Yayınlandı.aspx
and also we have i ı characters. I'm not sure you can see ı character correctly. i and ı are very different.

Same thing goes for,
ı-i  (I-İ)
c-ç (C-Ç)
o-ö (O-Ö)
s-ş (S-Ş)
u-ü (U-Ü)

Are there any workaround for displaying this characters correctly?

In the actual URL, you should only have english characters in I think, is this correct?

yes sir, i mean is url structure can be configured to convert Turkish characters to English ones

for example Turkish url

http://localhost/discount/Blog/tabid/72/ctl/ArticleView/mid/417/articleId/3/DotNetNuke-441-Yayınlandı.aspx (the orjinal one)

http://localhost/discount/Blog/tabid/72/ctl/ArticleView/mid/417/articleId/3/DotNetNuke-441-Yaynland.aspx (after submit it displayed like this)
http://localhost/discount/Blog/tabid/72/ctl/ArticleView/mid/417/articleId/3/DotNetNuke-441-Yayinlandi.aspx (i want it to display like this)
Is this possible?

Thanks in advance....

Hmm, that might be tricky, the code actually strips out any non-english characters, that's why that character is removed.

I think the only way to resolve this issue is to allow the author to override the URL that is generated?
