Hi,

When we add the friendly urls, the admin and host links get a page not found. We are using the house menu. Maybe I'm missing something obvious. Any help would be qreatly appreciated.

That's odd, it should be:-

/Admin/Site%20Settings.aspx

It must be the house menu, can you try a different skin/menu to see if it works?

Hi Scott,
Sorry, I gave you the wrong info. It is producing the ulr's as you specified. However, we get page not found. We have about 6 portals installed with different menus and skins and have the same results. We have to remove the dll in order to get the menus working again. Thank you for your prompt replies.

Hi,

It is a problem with the house menu. I have tryed a number of various menu's with the friendly url provider set to humanfriendly urls.

These menus listed here are the ones that i know will work:

  1. Solpart menu
  2. DNN menu
  3. Seo menu (snowcovered)

Hope that helps.

I would say there might be a problem with the house menu, it should use a core method for writing out the URL, maybe it doesn't?

Hi!
I had that problem using hebrew in the "page name".
Then i had to disable the option at host/advanced... use friendly url.
Then because I wanted to keep friendly url (and keep hebrew) I had to change the option in the web.config like Scott told me.
If thats the case I'll look for it somwhere here in the forums.
