Scott,

I had been using your Friendly URLs for a while on a 4.3.5 installation.  Last week I added Blowery compression and all of a sudden, I get a javascript error (see this DNN Forum thread: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/81069/scope/posts/Default.aspx)

When I remove Friendly URLs and revert back to the original DNN URL Rewriter then the javascript error goes away.  I have been emailing John Mitchell and he suggested that I get in contact with you to see if there is anything you can do to assist.

Thanks,

- Ron.

Scott: not sure if this helps or not - but if I use your binary and remove the urlFormat="HumanFriendly" from the web.config, then the javascript error goes away. I'm not sure if this effectively disables the binary, but thought I would pass this along.

If you remove the urlFormat attribute, it just reverts back to the core provider.

There must be something getting zipped which should not be, possibly a JS file or something, have you tried excluding JS files from the compression?

This was the behavior I was without any compression ... although I noted it started after I installed Blowery, I removed it as the first possible suspect.

You had JS errors before you turned blowery on?

No - that's the weird thing. I turned Blowery on, then got JS errors. Removed Blowery, still had JS errors. Removed Friendly URLs, no more JS errors.

Right now, I have PageBlaster turned on with native URL Rewriter and no JS errors...

Hello,

Does PageBlaster works correctly with Friendly Urls ? I do not understand what "native URL Rewriter" is ?...

the native url rewriter, is the one that comes with DNN that rewrites the path out (minus a querystring)
