I have a bit of a weird problem. I have friendlyURL installed and it works fine. The problem is that I have a page called "solutions" as a parent page. When friendlyURL's are off when you click "Solutions" on the menu it takes you to the solutions page. When I turn on the friendlyURL's and click the same link it redirects me to the home tab not the solutions tab. If I rename the Solutions tab to "Solutions2" with the friendlyURL's on it redirects me to the "Solutions2" tab as it should. It is sort of acting like it there might be another solutions page and it can't decide where to go so defaults to the home tab. I've looked through and made sure there aren't any other solutions tabs in the pages view, there is only one. I emptied the recycle bin to make sure it isn't something in there. I'm at a little bit of a loss and wondered if you had any ideas. Thanks

It was nothing with the friendly URL set up. I was working on a joint project and the other developer who added the solutions tab improperly to the core friendly URL section (as DNN host). Long story short it was added wrong so everytime you clicked the link it redirected you to the home tab. Once it was deleted out everything worked perfectly. Chalk up another baffling problem to something simple. WIth how minimal this change really is....... why isn't it just added to the DNN core?

I did submit it for 3.3.x, it never got added though..

Before recently updating to DNN 4.3.5 and adding human friendly URL, I could have sworn that, if I logged in on a specific page that you would be logged in on that page. I now see that login is always redirecting to the homepage. I have not changed admin settings. I have not specified a homepage. Is this just a consequence of using FriendlyURLs? TIA Buck

Hi Buck, You'll notice that there is only 1 login page, /login.aspx, this is so you don't get a login page for each page in your site (and make your sitemap very large). I think it maybe just a consequence of this.

Hi Scott, That is what I thought was the issue. I am going to dabble with placing a login control on a page and see if it holds the page.
