Hi,

As you maybe know, DNN's search logic (for user in the search field) allows stuff like: "+Word1 +Word2" which then returns only results with Word1 AND Word2. If you use that syntax with your FriendlyUrl Provider, then you get a 404 error.

Best regards,
Rainer.

Thanks for reporting this, I'll have to examine it to reproduce and get back to you

Hi,

Any updates on that issue?

Thanks, Rainer

P.S.: Off-Topic: I use the same forum module. How did you get the smiley Button into the HTML Editor (for writing threads)?

I use FCKEditor which has it.

Sorry, I haven't been able to look at this issue yet.

Hi,

Did you check that issue?

Why is your Friendly URL provider still not in DNN? The one thats there is really crap compared to yours.

Best Regards,
Rainer.

Hehe Cepheus, I can't remember if Scott wrote all of the FriendlyURL provider that's currently part of DNN he did have a lot to do with it. :)

I've just took a look at the issue you're talking about and it looks to me (without looking at any of Scott's source code) that the + signs in the search are causing the problem. Scott, does the code strip any "dangerous" characters out of a URL or parameter list for security reasons?

I've updated the friendly url provider for 4.3.4+, if you are using that version, can you give it a go?
