Hi Scott,

I just notice that in my site, the RSS Feed of Simple Gallery is missing the site address.

See this link for an example:

http://pijaja.com/DesktopModules/SimpleGallery/RSS.aspx?t=276&m=826&tm=527&MaxCount=10&portalid=10

I don't know what is causing the problem...

Sure Scott,

I have 1 question before installing:

Because the Module Uploading feature of my website somehow got mixed up, it's not safe to install the module in the traditional way. So can I unzip SG's files to a place and upload them to the corresponding folders? Do I have to upload the *.dnn file as well?

Thanks.

Depends what version you are updating from, some require sql scripts to be run and module definitions to be updated.

Why iis your module uploading failing?

I'm upgrading from 02.03.04. Will that be ok?

I don't know why it fails. After clicking "Install Module", the request never completes until it times out. The uploading log doesn't even appear! Although the module is still uploaded and the scripts are executed, if the server times out before they are done, the module can be broken.

I tried disabling cache, compression and Ajax, but same result. This just happened after I upgraded from 4.8.0 to 4.8.2

Thanks.

02.03.05 had a sql script that would need to be run manually if you decide to copy the files over.

Ok Scott,

So I'll have to open 02.03.05.sql and execute it in Host SQL?

I think I'll still proceed with the old way anyway.

Can you think of anything that is causing this failure (I also experience this when updating Host Settings)?

Not really, it could be a number of things.

Yes, execute that file in host -> sql.

Thanks Scott,

I proceeded with the old uploading method. The main Simple Gallery was upgraded fine to 2.3.6, but the Random and Tag Clouds modules were not and stayed in 2.3.4

However, all of them are still working well. Is there any significant change in these two minor modules that I have to upgrade?

Regards.
