Sorry to bring a topic that seems  to have been raised before but I was not able to find a definitive answer on these forums - everything sounds like " the check is in the mail" type of thing.

So the question is would the modules be available under asp.net 2.0 and if yes realistically when?

Ventrian (Scott) is probably the most highly regarded DNN vendor but I don't want to have my developers go back to 1.1 if we need customization of the modules.

Thanks. Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for bringing this up - the only thing holding us back is the download page at the moment, I am reorganising it to list multiple releases for a module.

e.g.

Latest Release: Simple Gallery xx:yy:zz, requirements DNN 4.5.5, Ajax 1.0, etc.
Archive Release: Simple Gallery xx:yy:zz, requirements DNN 3.1.1 - DNN 4.5.4

The actual process of migration to asp.net 2 is very easy using BlankModule.

Realistically, this needs to happen sooner then later, as 4.x is the prevalent release now.

Scott,

Thanks for the response. So is it realistic to expect the 2.0 versions within three months?

Also, if we decide to convert it ourselves - BlankModul - is this Vladan's method for creating modules?

Ivan

I'm afraid I don't have neither the tools nor the skill set to use BlankModul.

Any update on the 2.0 versions?

That is good news. I'm really looking forward to being able to use Display Names on these modules. Especially the Private Messages and Where are they Now modules.
