I recently added the Gallery to one of my customers sites and it's now the most popular area of their site by far!
You can see it in action at http://www.kithomesaustralia.com.au/RangeofHomes/PhotoGallery/tabid/418/Default.aspx
The only change I would like to see is the abilty to pre-select the photo that is shown for the album thumnail in parent albums (currently random)
Great work Scott (as usual)
Ian. |

I am using it in a few places.. I have a 4th coming online soonn
http://www.moparcarbque.com has over 500 car show photos. Also using "Random" photo module.
http://www.theFreeBeerBand.com
http://www.Triton85.com is using the control... This site REALLY needs user uploads.
The car show site, and the reunion site would both GREATLY benefit from a User Upload feature (with an associated photo folder)... this way registered users could have thier own little "space" to upload pics of family or thier car!
I love the idea of being able to link ActiveForums to a Simple Gallery User Specific Folder (similar to how Active Forums can be linked to private messages.) so that within active forums messages a link is presented "Gallery".
That is a great idea for the gallery link, I'll make sure the link to the gallery can be accessed by the userID.
User Uploads is coming, it's just been a very busy month for me.. |

My DNN community website I am very proud of (my company):
http://www.yapclub.com/austin/PHOTOS/tabid/234/Default.aspx
As you can see, I am eagerly looking forward to the user uploads feature of the photo gallery (not released yet as of this post). This will allow any members of my community to upload photos of events they attended and took pictures at. And then, of course, I can remove\disapprove any pictures I find inappropriate.

Looks great! Love the look of the site.
I'll be removing this thread soon, and adding a consolidated list to the simple gallery page.. |

Great work guys!
FYI, if it is cutting off the side images around a photo frame, it does this because of the real estate available, you could try changing the photo's per row from 4 to 3 |

I have it up on a site I built for my WoW guild. It is still low on photos, but I have the gallery preview on the main page, and can't wait until the guildmembers will be able to upload their own photos.

I beleive whats really causing this is the left and right columns are collapsing which in return is hiding the tiled background. Scott, if you could throw in a spacer the columns won't collapse and people won't be running into the edges disapearing. For my designs I just use the same image used for the background and insert it.
Just trying to help
Rich
P.S. Keep up the great work! |

I am using it as well, mostly for screenshots for a Flightsimming website www.fsalliance.net
Since user uploads are not available, i opened up editing of the module and posted instructions on how to use it. This works ok and i haven't had any issues of someone deleting or editing another persons album.
Some people are still finding it a little tough to get through and maybe thats because of my instructions, but, at least it is getting some use.
Thanks for the awesome module!! |

| West Des Moines United Methodist Church: We just launched our new http://www.wdmumc.org -- and this has tons of photos using your Simple Gallery. Over 20 albums so far. This really rocks and adds so much to the site. It also helps to have a former Meredith Corp. staff photographer (member who volunteers at our church) feeding me high quality photos every week. |
