Now that individual users can add photos to an album... it would be great to have a "Posted By xxxxx" blurb next to it... especially if someone puts up something bad when moderation is off.

Users can just add only photos.. how about being able to just add Albums as well.

Could take that even farther and have the capability of being able to separate an individuals albums away from everyone else's.\

Good ideas, I was planning on making just the section around the photo templatable, so you could add your own custom words, e.g. showing name, description, poster, date, when they were approved etc? Still needs a bit of thought but that is my ultimate plan. There would be one view when they are shown in album view and one view for the slideshow.

Yep, album permissions are coming, specifically, Upload/Edit/Delete/Sort. (Sort will have the sortorder added to photos so you can reorganise the album).

An individual view would be just another view on the module, it still needs a bit of though, but is definately attainable.

Along these lines, something I'm looking for at the moment is the ablility to point a gallery at a particular directory.  I installed Speerio's File Manager Pro, and have users with the ability to  upload only to their directory (portals/[portalid]/[username]).  If users' albums were created in seperate directories, preferably definable with tokens, then I would be set.

I haven't had a chance to work with Simple Gallery too much, but I don't think it can be configured to do that, can it? 

Patiently hoping for the upcoming release of Simple MusicGallery...     That's the next thing I have to put together...

You can customise an album to have a specified directory, but it's not currently key'd on username as each album can be managed by a role. There is a "My Photos" enhancement coming that may allow a user to do this, but it will require a user to "own" an album.

I'll be setting up a demo-site that will allow you to "play" around with the module if you are not a subscriber.
