I just downloaded 1.07.03.
I see that now users can add photos to existing albums.
Is there a way I can allow users to create there own albumn, add/edit/delete photos in their own albums butt not in other albums?
Thanks,
Garth |

This is upcoming in a future release, you'll be able to assign roles to the create album permission |

I was wondering about this myself, so I'm glad to see you will be adding it.
Thanks Scott,

That would be very beneficial. I just hope that you have the following in mind: If you have role1 and role2, the simple gallery will give permission the following way.
Root Album 1 - Sub Album 1-1 -> under this album role 1 can make changes, add albums and pictures. - Sub Album 1-2 -> under this album role 2 can make changes, add albums and pictures.
Root Album 2 - Sub Album 2-1 - Sub Album 2-2 -> under this album role 1 can make changes, add albums and pictures.
Thanks
Steve |

I hadn't thought of a hierarchy, but this would make good sense. An option to override the parent completely would be a good idea too. |

First of all I have to say Great Job done by Scott. Among the features required, I suggest the option for the host/administrator to be able to fix the max pics number per profile.
That is: role1 can add an album only and can add 12 (the number the admin sets) pics only, nothing more..
Thanks to Scott once again.

| This is quite an old post, there have been many other enhancements to simple gallery in that time as well. This is still an item to address though. |

Scott I am also waiting for an option like this to let users add their own albumss, or maybe even tie it to the user profile so that users can have their own gallery in their profle... maybe to make it more interesting for you to work on some modules you should place a price tag on your work , maybe a more expencive membership that would have access to the modules with more options first ? |
