ok, I'm not sure how to update ajax but I'll look into that. I've also now gone begging in the DNN forums... I'll see what happens. I've searched and tried everything I can think of without any luck. Disabling ajax makes it work fine. And it is also very odd that the problem only occurs when changing from lightbox to popup or standard. It doesn't occur if the module was already set to standard or popup and is then changed to lightbox - that works fine. However, I mainly popped back in to see if you think this post of Mitchell's might have anything to do with it: http://www.mitchelsellers.com/Blogs/tabid/54/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/202/Default.aspx It's a different module and dnn version, but perhaps it is a similar thing happening?

Since it works on most other installs, I'm not sure that is the issue. My recommendation is the service pack update for the .NET Framework (assuming your using 2.0)

PEOW!!! that worked! I backed everything up, and after considering putting in a support ticket (no!) I went ahead and updated to this release. And now it works - what a drama. Thanks for the tip! Rob

Yep, there was an issue in the UpdatePanel that got fixed temporarily with a work around, but was later bundled into the SP1 release. Glad it's working, the good thing is that I can turn a lot more partial rendering on now and get people to make sure they have SP1 for 2.0 on.
