HI folks... having some basic problems understanding how Simple Gallery works... Is it not possible to specify an existing parent folder and then various child folders full of images, and have it create albums in this manner? Cheers!

Each album will have it's own root folder. If you create the folder structure 1st, then create the albums and point them to the correct directory and sync 'em up you should get what your after. They just won't auto create based on the folder structure.

Hey thanks Jack! ... that did the trick. I have one more query if anyone can help... Currently, I have directory called "Gallery" and then a bunch of child directories with images. SO right now I created Gallery as my parent directory. This meas that module displays one main album and then everything is inside that. Is there a simple way to NOT display the parent directory so that the module displays the first level siblings right-off the bat? Cheers!

What happens if you take that "Root" albumn and remove the "Is Album Public" checkbox?

Nope... my guess is if I want the first set of children as parents, I have to make them all parents! But... thats a bit of work, so I'm just wondering if there is a simpler way before I embark in an hour of re-organization... Any other ideas? Cheers! BTW: What does "Public" true/false actually do? Seems like the module permission setting will over-ride this anyway... Is there any documentation for this?
