Is it possible for me to use the quote module as a skinobject? I would like to embed it within another control I have (so not a content pane). Is this possible for any of your modules? If so, it would be great to have the directions for those. Dax

Dax The difficulty is that you would still need the module to add quotes, so a skin object would be an add-on to the current module?

Yeah, but my current need is rather high so I was willing to just hack the db. But wouldn't know what to put for module ID. Is there a way I can do this? Dax

You would still have to have the module for entering the quotes but could be hidden for admin and then drop the skin object in. You could also modify your skin to have a content pane and drop the module there with no container?

Hello, yeah SkinObject to just display random quotes would be great! I'd use it right away, I actually have "[QUOTES]" place holder there for month or so :-) Handling administration through module would be perfect. Many thanks if you do it :-)

As a workaround, I created a pane on my skin where I wanted the quotes to be, and then just dropped the module in it, removed the container and set it to display on all pages, and then adjusted the appearance and layout with css. At the time of this writing, you can see it in action on my personal site: http://adampaxton.com. Under my name at the top, the tag line is generated with the Quotes module. Not as clean as a skinobject, of course, but works for me! Thanks.
