Any movement on this one? We are seeing the same problem and thus have to check every subscriber to make sure it worked.

Not yet - the payment processor needs to be completely rewritten, I've tried "encoding" fixes but it hasn't worked. Paypal has not been very helpful in finding the resolution.

I'm going to switch to a different payment type rather than just IPN.

I just wanted to chime in that the character with special symbols always fails for me. I usually read the paypal email after payment is accepted and if I see any "speacial" characters in the name or address, I know to go in and add the role manually.

Any status update on adding the role on payment? If the role is not added, do I need to add the subcription info like Service Fee and Plan Duration to the actual role in addition to Ventrian Subscriptions module?

Cliff - I'm not sure what you mean by adding the role on payment? Are all payments not adding to the role in your instance?

I thought this thread was about members not being added to the specified DNN role after payment. So I was checking to see if this was still an issue. You mentioned in a recent post that you were rewriting the processor.

I had not installed the module yet and was trying to determine if I needed to look at other options. But I installed and configured it and did a test transaction and it did add the user account to the role I specified.

So is this thread only about user accounts with special characters?

It should only be an issue with accentuated characters.
