I'm getting a lot of my members complaining that they keep getting renewal notices even after they renew their membership.  Doesn't the module check to see that they membership has been extended before sending out the emails?

Subscriptions are 1 year long.  Reminder settings are: Period 45 days,  Freq. 7 days,   Scheduler enabled, Time lapse 1 day, Retry 2 days.

How is the check accomplished?  Does it check the expiration date on the role, or does it check for a more recent receipt?

For a more recent receipt.

So, it would send every 7 days when the latest receipt is less than 45 days before expiry.

Hmm.. I'm not sure why it would be sending them then. I'll have to dig a little deeper... All these receipts were imported when I migrated to DNN in January.. Could that be the reason? Did I miss something in the import...

Also, I think I set my plans up differently.. The standard subscription is $24 per year. However, in February, I had a membership sale. I gave the members an option to sign up for 2 years for $40 or 4 years for $80. I set these new plans up in addition to the regular $24 one and had them assign users to the same role with different lengths. It's the same membership, I just gave a discount for going longer. I ran into 2 or 3 of the couple hundred that jumped on the sale where the new expiration date didn't calculate correctly, but just about everyone's did.. It took the current expiration of the role and added 2 or 4 years respectively. A couple cases though, it just added 2 or 4 years to the current date and set that as the role expiration.

Weird...

I've re-checked the code, it does use the receipts table and in particular the stored procedure called DnnForge_SubscriptionTools_ReceiptListExpired

Do the receipts have to be for the same plan?  I assume they do..

I figured out what was happening here.. More stupidity on my part. I have a second dev instance set up on a separate server. I never disabled the notifications on that instance, and had it sending mail to the production mail server. So in production, people were renewing and not getting the notices anymore, while the dev instance never got updated, so it was still sending out notices.
