Sorry if this is a silly question, but I'm testing the subscription signup module with the Paypal sandbox.  I appeared to have successfully paid, but my invoice says payment pending, and there is no role added to the actual account.  My question is, is this to be expected when using the paypal sandbox? 

I'm just not familiar with it.

The sandbox should work in the same way as the normal paypal system.

One thing to note is that you site must be pingable by the paypal sandbox, so it won't work on a localhost environment.

I'm seeing the same thing with the sandbox, although I'm assuming it's because it's waiting the ~4 days for the ECheck to clear.  Is there some way to make it go ahead and add the role immediately?  Or, am I missing something altogether?

Yes, eCheques do cause delays, as they can be cancelled by the user before it has been processed, so they aren't added to the role before the time period.

I could add some functionality to the module that would process these earlier, but you are running a risk of them cancelling the payment.

The funny part is that I didn't use an echeque transaction to make the payment, but rather I used a credit card. I also can't seem to get the Sandbox account to send a verification email, so the sandbox account is unverified. I'm just not sure if this is a Paypal/sandbox problem, or what. From what I'm reading though, I suspect it is a problem with the way I have the Paypal Sandbox set up.
