Scott,

This module is awesome! Thank you!

Now for your thoughts on a possible step to the next level.

Many of our clients have the need to provide conference registration. While many of the form creation and "user" modules available allow for this, the one thing they are really lacking is the ability to process payments for "conference options".

For a look at a rather complex example see here:
http://www.alde.org/Education/Conference/ConferenceRegistration/tabid/240/Default.aspx

Users are asked to complete the form and then go through the "store" to process the payments. The subscription tools module would work FANTASTIC for the payment processing part as it allows multiple selections. Now if it could only be tied to other data collection!

Any idea on how this could be pulled off?

OMT - A drop down with "Quantities" might be a nice plus!

Have you seen the special need thread? It talks about collecting additional customer data on the signup, maybe these 2 items are linked?

I'm open to suggestions on how to best achieve the collection of data before the actual processing of payments.

Yes, I believe they are related. I'll move this over there.

How about some kind of interface that users of XMod and other such packages could use to link their forms to a subscription signup?

The latest XMod has AJAX capability so maybe it could be so interfaced as to be seamless to the end user.

Any thoughts?

Hey George,

Now that is a great idea!

BTW - How are you coming on the next release of File Upload? Just waiting to see it out of 2.1 beta so I can give that delete issue a try.

TIA

I think X-Mod may be a bit to complicated for the average user to configure. I know I have a nasty time just creating a basic form.

That module looks nice, but I'm afraid it would not be nearly flexible enough for us. We need to collect tons of information about the users, possibly their guest as well as several option selections through the registration process.
