I have two requests that I wonder if there is some way to accomplish that I am missing.

I posted here:

I love this module - it really helps me develop good navigation on my site. The problem is this... I have a big group of "departmental" pages for an organization. On a "my links" page I am using multiple instances of your module to show what they have access to. So there may be 8 or so instances on a page each pointing at a different "page" to determine what under that page the user has access to.

Here is the issue.. I am using the HTML header template option to provide some detail about the department.... So if the user has no options in that department provisioned they still see the "header" content which sort of says "hey there is something here you dont have" - in a corporate world thats a bad idea.

I would love the ability to hide the module head and footer content if the user has no "child links" - this would give me the ability to keep the user from even seeing that the pages exist. I would see this being employed as a module setting.

I would also love the ability to use the [DESCRIPTION] value from the root of the page we are pointing at in the template. This would let me put something in the head template section that describes the page we are pointing at then there would be a child link that also supports this... so I would guess this is a [PARENTDESCRIPTION] template option that I am looking for.

The difficulty with hiding the module completely, is that I've never found an effective way to do it in DNN (this is the module and it's container). Would just hiding the templates work?

For the [DESCRIPTION], I can add this to the head template.

Yes this is wonderful.... I am not showing the container on my modules so if you hide the template when there are no child links as a module option it would work perfectly.

Description in the head template would be GREAT... how long would something like this take to put in place?
Thanks

The change would take an hour or two, but I have many enhancements in the queue first.

If you require it more urgently - you can contact support@ventrian.com to work something out.
