If you look at the new dotnetnuke.com website, you will notice that they use a feature much like Child Links except when a page with the child links is shown, all levels of links are shown.  I usually never go with more than one submenu deep, but I don't always have control of my clients content.  Here is my suggestion:

Have an additional setting called "Show children of Top Level Page".  This would show all links of the Top-Level "Main Menu" item regardless of what page you are on or how deep you are in the site.

Have an additonal option that would show nested sub-pages.

If these changes were made, making a DNN site that you cannot get lost on would be easy to do.  I could add Child Links to the home page, make the settings as above in View Options, edit my templates and then flag it to be displayed on all pages in Module Settings.

Having Child Links make RSS feeds would be totally cool too.

Mike

Absolutely! I think this is a fantastic suggestion, however I would like to be able to specify the maximum number of level to expose.

This sounds like a good item to implement.

Can you try the current release - I'm open to ideas on how to implement nested sub-pages through tokens.

Ok, let me know how you go and about the nested pages.

Hi Scott,

Would it be possible to have the option of an unordered list that would include nested pages?

Barry

Maybe, but that would most likely remove the template functionality.

Indeed, that's what happens currently if you select 'dropdown', the same should be true if 'Unordered List' was chosen.
