A bit late to this discussion however... It seems there should be a mechanism for modules to push structure up to DNN. From their node, the module would be able to fill in a series of nodes based solely on its own content. It make sense that DNN would be much more effective if it had deeper knowledge of structure. Other things like breadcrumbs and menus could reflect the users experience instead of stalling at the last page node.

To explicitly exclude pages or directories use robots.txt. I use xml-sitemaps.com as opposed to a module. Works great. Tom, it is limited to 500 entries. How did you do (I assume that you have more than 500 articles, isn't it ?) Does "http://www.bitethebullet.co.uk/GoogleSiteMapDNNModule/tabid/59/Default.aspx" this one include Ventrian NA ?
