Is this the store on your GymnasticsMedia.com site? Any chance you would share your XMod Templates?

Buck,

So are you using catalook in production yet? I've had a lot of people ask me about the best solution in the market for the majority of ecommerce tasks.

Hi Scott,
Sorry, just found your post.

I have been using it restrictively to sell to our advertising customers.

With no other current option, I will be using it for a site that is currently in production.

I use it on http://www.yourcorvette.com/. It definitely has a lot of options, but about zero usability. The client has a LOT of trouble managing things because it just is not intuitive, they put everything in front of you at the same time. It is also a little slow, but probably the best solution out there. I own Portal Store, but have not actually implemented it yet.

Running 3.x on that site now. I've done an upgrade to the latest Catalook and latest DNN on a test server (went without a hitch, I was surprised).

I'd be happy to share our XMod template/forms for our store. I'll post a link here once I get everything in order.

I've checked out many of the older DotNetNuke Shopping Cart Modules.. I was wondering whether there has been any new development on newer, most intuitively designed scripts out there? While many people praise the abilities of Catalook, I, as with many, have found it very overwhelming to use. For such an expensive script, I would've liked it if the team had put more through into a better UI. osCommerce features even a better layout than the Catalook administration! I don't doubt it's abilities, but I agree with others when they say it takes a lot of effort to just add one product. My 2 cents, Catalook is great, but for many, it's counter-productive to spend the time learning the in's and out's.

If anybody has noticed any new Shopping Cart's around lately, please share it with us. =)

Just launched my second site on Catalook: http://www.endurancefilms.com. My client had a real eye for how he wanted things to look so it took far longer than expected and required massive skin changes. Overall we could not implement only two of three ideas.

Things are just not documented very well but once you get the hang of it you can make it look decent. I found the forums at dnnsoft and Nina's site at catalooksupport.com very helpful throughout the process.

Doing it again I think I would still use Catalook. I am, however anxiously awaiting the DNN version of ASPDNSF

VERY nice work!  I didn't see PayPal as a payment method for the store settings. Will this be an option?

Frank, how do you handle skinning?

What about SEO for categories?

Hi Tom,

Alicommerce use standard DNN CSS classes. From what we see, the module looks pretty consistent when dropped to a skinned DNN site. To further control category layout and product display, it also has a councept called module theme, which is very similar to core forum theme. Currently there is only one built-in theme. There will be at least another one or two to come bundled in.

Better SEO support is on top of our Todo list. Meta info can be defined at category and product level at admin side,  and it's front side logic that is missing. We'll do it in next version. Regarding Human friendly URL, we will wait to see what core team come up in the 4.6.  If you have any advice on SEO, we are all ears.

Thank you for your time.

Frank

Hi!

Has anyone tried "Gumbosoft Google Checkout Shopping Cart"?

What do you think about it?
