Hi, anyone got a DNN5 to work on godaddy hosting? With all normal permissions, access etc.?

Just wondering...

Are you having a particular issue? The major issue I see is that the executionTimeout sometimes needs to be extended for installation.

I am moving away from GoDaddy because of permissions issues.

No modules were installing correctly with GoDaddy (DNN in Root). They seem to install fine with other providers like ServerIntellect and 3Essentials.

If you have the budget powerDNN is supposed to be the best. They are a dedicated DNN hosting firm.

Have a not so good experience with PowerDNN but totally can't blame them.

The network latency is so high when accessing from Asia countries.

Thanks,

George

Well, i also moved some of my websites to PowerDNN (via dedicated server), however you can install and manage dnn to godaddy, it even gives you opportunity to host multiple websites under a single account. This would save you a few bucks :)

Check out www.mynetnuke.com for details, be aware accessing my tutorials require subscription.
