I want users of a site to be able to manage their own profiles so that they can edit their address, phone numbers etc, but they can never delete themselves from the database.

I don't seem to be able to accomplish this.  There does not seem to be a way to prevent a user from eliminating themsleves as a user on the system.  Because I have data in the system that is tied to a user's account, I cannot allow a user to be deleted.  I cannot see a feature in user settings  to disallow users from eliminating themselves.

Is there a way to use Subscription Tools as an opt-in/opt-out tool for registered users?  When I try to use it for simple opt-in or opt-out, I am still redirected to Paypal even though I have selected no payment gateway.
