I have searched for lost host password in forums and have not found any solution.  Why does the host password in the reminder sent as ****.  What steps do you take to reset the password.

 

I copied both the password and passwordsalt from another login and successfully logged in.  What impact is there if 2 accounts have the same passwordsalt?

And can we turn off the blank password reminder for host so the real password is sent?

I would say that it's a bug with DotNetNuke, have you logged it at support.dotnetnuke.com ?

 

I don't think there is any restriction in having 2 accounts with the same salt, but perhaps there should be..

 

I'm not sure about the blank password being sent, again, I would probably suggest support.dotnetnuke.com..
