If you subscribed to this site via paypal, you may have received a notification saying that your paypal subscription has been cancelled. You still have access to this site for the period you paid for.

This cancellation was just stopping the auto-renew process built into paypal subscriptions and is to make way for subscription tools which will manage the entire subscription process and just use processes like paypal for processing payments only.

I find that a pay as you go approach is much, much better then an auto-renew process. If you are interested, you can read more here.
