When I install Simple Gallery 02.03.06 (min install 4.05.05 )  into my DNN 04.08.02 site, I get the following error message:
------------
Error: SimpleGallery is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: connectionString ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: connectionString at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteReader(String connectionString, String spName, Object[] parameterValues) at Ventrian.SimpleGallery.SqlDataProvider.ListAlbumAll(Int32 moduleID, Int32 parentAlbumID, Boolean showPublicOnly, Boolean showChildren) at Ventrian.SimpleGallery.Entities.AlbumController.List(Int32 moduleID, Int32 parentAlbumID, Boolean ShowPublicOnly, Boolean showChildren) at Ventrian.SimpleGallery.Gallery.InitializeModule() at Ventrian.SimpleGallery.Gallery.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
------------

I get the same error on the sites that have been upgraded from DNN 3x to DNN 4x

I have a lot of clients that use and love the simple gallery, that will be either getting new 4x upgrades or fresh installs, so this is really a critical issue for me.

Hmm, I will test this, I wasn't aware of any issues on installs less then 4.8.2

It is saying that the connectionString is blank? It should get the connection string from the web.config like all other modules.

I take it you get it when adding the module to the page?

Can you use the module after it occurs?

I've found the fix and will be releasing shortly.

This occurs for new installs where some of the connection string information is accessed slightly differently.
