Firstly, do you always have to have type? because I really do not need any for a simple links list that i am creating.  i have the types enabled box unchecked but the application still wants one when adding a record.

Secondly,and if I have to have types I figure I could use them as categories like news articles.  So is it posible to wrap a link around a [CUSTOM:Linktype], as in caregories in news articles to let the user navigate to that section or category or type so it would list all the records listed with that type. I know i can do this buy enabling types but i would rather just write out the category underneath the record with date created and author ect.

Is it posible to use the Hits token without them actually going to the detail page.  becuase I just have a simple list of links, so when a user clicks on the link i would like it to count the hits.

As of right now, it's still the last template posted.

About [HITS].   You can put it in, latest item, listing item and as you already know in view item page.

Categories indepandence module, from what I've read in the forum it's in Scott's list. I also wait for it.

I agree that if you have only one type it should be the default when you're submiiting a property other than getting an error when you've missed it.
