Hello,

I have a dropdown list for "State" as a custom field. It currently has the state spelled out, but I'd like to use abreviations now instead. I have changed the dropdown choices, but now need to go into each property and reset this fields value to the abbreviation.

This is getting time consuming.

How can I open the database itself in excel or notepad or something like that? Is there a single file I can open, make all these changes by hand (or maybe with a find/replace) and then upload back to the server?

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I currently use "SQL Manager 2005 for SQL Server" and I would strongly suggest you purchase this or a similar product. It's great for Backing up the SQL DB but also for editing the DB directly, as you need to do.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Kon

You should be able to download the tools for SQL Express to get the SQL Manager I think.
