I just noticed that there seems to be a size restriction in the Description field of the Simple Gallery. Is there a way to increase the size value of this?  I have some descriptions that are pretty long..

Yes, originally it was because of RSS feeds.

I thought I removed the limit though previously, I'll need to re-check. (it was in the feedback center at some point)

Hmm, it is limited to 255 chars in the database.

Can this be made larger? & can I do it manually by altering the DB?

The description length has been extended in the latest release.
