I'm setting up server for hosting ASP.NET and have 64 bit version of Windows 2003 server. The mob helping me setup that if I run IIS under x64 bit then ASP.Net 1.1 wont be available for customers. If I need ASP.Net 1.1 then we'll need to run both under 32 bit mode IIS.
Will DNN 3.1.1 apps run under .NET 2.
Should I go .NET 2 and 64 bit?
Any thoughts are welcomed.

We run 64 bit servers with DNN 4.5.1. I'll check with our admin to see if he did anything special for "older" modules developed against 1.1

Dear samant,
to make it clear: Most custom dnn modules of 3.1.1 will also work on .net2
but DNN 3.1.1 needs net1.1.
But at all you can configure net 1.1 and 2.0 together, and then make sure top append the right version the the dnn app pool.
To make it clear again. If for example somebody has developed a module with net 1.1 but you have dnn 4.x install (running under .net2) it will work

Yup...we're not even running 1.1 on the 64 bit server.

That would be great if you could.
Cheers

Turns out we have run into an issue with one module that was written against ASP.Net 1.1. Actually, the issue does not seem to be with the module, but rather with another dll the module references in it's project. It throws a win 32 error on app load (very bad across all portals).
We have removed the references in web.config to the module to get things working again but can't run it until we resolve it. The current concept is to setup the server to run 2.0 32 bit but this will "downgrade" the server to a 32 bit mode when running web apps.
