Hi Scott, Have you and Will ever talked about a better way to handle the URLs in activeforums? It just seems that something could be done to make them look a little better. I would love to see the URL the same way as the rest of the site. Something like http://www.ventrian.com/Support/ProductForums.aspx?forumid=35&postit=123456.
I really do LOVE this modification, I just wanted to throw that out there and see what you and everyone else thinks.
Thanks Rick |

| I rather see that Friendly URL's get implemented in DNN and that every module developer sticks to certain rules so that every module can benefit from it in the future. |

I agree with you completely Mariëtte, I am just wondering if there is anything that active forums or Friendly URLs could do to make it more known on what standards could be used. |

Mariette, the problem with having it in the Core, is that each module has it's own tables, and different ways to store data, while it might be possible via interfaces, and delegating the work down, this would be a little difficult, because it would first need to get passed to that module's code based on a URL.
I'll be meeting Will in person either tomorrow or the day after, so I might have a chat to him about it. |
