I've just created a DNN site and added your Simple Gallery. The Simple Gallery works fine when I'm logged in as host.
However, when I'm not logged in and I try to visit the page with the Simple Gallery module, the browser just hangs. The page is setup so that it should be available to "All Users". The module is setup to inherit permissions of the page and this is the only module on the page.
Any idea why this might be happening?

Any special configuration? Are you using Windows Authentication or something?
Version of DNN? Who is your host? |

I have not setup any kind of special configuration or authentication, at least not intentionally.
My host is WebHost4Life and I used their DNN Self-Install Utility to install DNN 4.3.4.
Are there any special file permissions that I should be aware of? I know that Network Service has full permissions on the website but thats all I know to check.
Thanks. |

Hmm, is your site online so I can take a look?
It sounds like you have permissions already setup (these are really only for uploading the photos). It is strange that it works when logged in as host.
Do you have the module cached by any chance? (module settings) |

Yes, feel free to look:
http://www.designtimestudios.com/dnn
You will find the gallery link under News in the menu.
A couple of additional observations: The SimpleGallery Random module seems to work fine without logging in. It is just the page that contains the module that shows the set of Albums that does not seem to work. It turns out I don't have to be admin to get the page to work. It will work if I log in as a user that can edit the module, e.g. id/pwd = test/password.
Thanks. |

Hi Kwain,
Actually the site loads pretty quick for me, can you send me an email with some login to details to support@ventrian.com.
I'd like to take a look at how the module is configured, you don't have a cache time specified on the module do you? |

Hi again. Just sent you that login info but you can ignore it. I did in fact have a cache time set of 1200s. Seems to be the default value for my installation. Anyway, I set it to 0 and the module is now working perfectly! Thanks.

Excellant, I noticed this on another site a few months back. Glad to know it is fixed. |
