How about an option to post by category to a Twitter account? I'm thinking either the title and a link to the article would auto post to Twitter or a separate 140 character Twitter field would be added for the post.
I use this now for some articles and simply post a short text and link to Twitter manually. Works greate for updates on traffic or utility issues (municipal government).
