In the same vein, I also suggest a selectable field is used to replace the meta description.
The meta description tag is important in controlling how a page appears in the SERPs (search engine results pages). It is also a primary way of differentiating pages.

This is now in the current build, you can customise title, description and keywords via the layout files for view. Token support does exist as well.
