Placeable on any page, like the Lastest Articles user control, but for Archives. Admin sets default Archive Sort Order e.g. Created Date. Put items in grid with sortable headers to allow the user to resort based on Title or category for example. Admin chooses archive method, like use an Achive bit or expiry date or both.

Yes, the expiry date for sure should send article to an "archive". It should be easy enough to say "when expiring change category to" - and then a list of available categories where you can select what you want to use for an archive.

Maybe even allow an editable setting for when to send the article to the archive - eg after 30 days.

or possbily a flag to delete rather than archive after the expiration date.
