Having just spoke to
Alienware Australia, mine has been delayed again to next
week (this is like the 4th or 5th time?). They still don't have the parts (motherboard apparently now).
When I ordered, I asked, do you have all the parts in stock? They said
yes. Two days before the first ship date (8/22/2005), I asked them, is
everything progressing, will it ship OK? They answer yes.
I told them I'll be cancelling if it doesn't ship next week, I'll walk
down the road where they have everything in stock and put it
together myself. I can understand delays, but I don't like to be
constantly lied to by the sales department. They've had my money since
8/2/2005 (around 6k US) and I still have nothing!
This has been one of the most frustrating purchases of my life. Maybe I
was just suckered in because they use
DotNetNuke for their website, but
beware of
Alienware Australia. I'll post an update next week.
