Sometimes I just don't get large corporate companies. A recent company that
will remained anonymous made the following comment through their HR
department:-
"We're not interested in attracting 'Computer Geeks' to be the future leaders of our firm"
Bear in mind, this is a IT Services company and it was in reference to the graduate recruitment process.
I find the comment outrageous and I think it's why so many very
talented developers leave the larger companies. Sometimes we're made to
feel like 2nd class citizens for having technical knowledge! We can be good business people too!
