Hi Scott,
Do you plan to allow attached files for products?
For example if an estate agent wants to supply a video to show the house it could be good to have somewhere on the product page a links area. The visitor would click the link and watch the video in Media Player. Attached files could also be a map image or MS Word document for example.
Bertrand.

For info: On the following site they supply a free video module that launch the file in a popup: http://www.bizmodules.net/Default.aspx?tabid=62.
Regarding attached files it could also be pdf files as architects diagrams for new constructions, ....

How about renaming the estate module: "Product module" as we may customize the fields and then use it for many other purposes? Bertrand.

You are right Leiner. Any type of attached files (according to site security) would be usefull (pictures of course but also videos, diag., spreadsheets, pdf, ...). This functionality could be used for example for technical drawings for after sales or products datasheets. Bertrand.

Video is essential, but IMHO there are other modules designed for displaying multimedia, flash, 3Dvirtual tours, etc. without having it integrated into the Real Estate module itself.
BTW, voting is very ambiguous. I read Bertrand's "just register on the site" but I don't understand. I am a gold member and the only choice is "Vote" and it registers No. It didn't matter to me, because that's what I was voting. Still, it is confusing? John

Hi hypertexas,
I meant "register" on scot's site to be able to vote "against=for and 1 vote per registered user" and to post comment. I believe voting and posting comments is for subscribers only.
When I've answered to Wylie's question "How can I for "for" this suggestion?" I thought about registration/subscription. In fact the problem is with "against" word which means "voting for". A little bit confusing for french guys like me. I've learned at school that you fight "against" an idea if you don't agree.
Bertrand.

I think originally developed as a Real Estate module, it should stay a Real Estate module.
If Scott does model it after http://www.mosets.com/hot_property/overview/hot_property/
as he said, it's gonna be a killer module.

Hi Scotth, I was only speaking about the name used for the module on scott's site. As it will be "field label" customizable it will match any type of goods. I agree that the standard PA/source should stay "Real Estate" oriented. Bertrand.

Hi Scott,
Rob Poretti here from skin3.com
My wife is entering the real-estate market as an agent in the Oakville area (just outside of Toronto) and so I'm interested in what you are working on. I'm doing reasearch on requirements over the next few weeks so I can build her a site over the holidays.
I'm interested in comparing notes with what you will be offering. Perhaps you could start a forum thread on this project. There is not much out there for DNN3 and what is, is poorly implemented and poorly targeted.
I would certainly subscribe to your Gold subscription if this module is in some "state of readiness" over the next month. Do you have a basic roadmap for this project?
Cheers!
Cheers!

Hi Scott... an example of the kind of property search page (http://www.mm4a.com/), search results page (http://www.mm4a.com/search_results.php), and item detail page (http://www.mm4a.com/44a_read.php?ltl=79448), that I'm interested in...
The mulitple photo in the detail is nice. It's only missing a link to an external web-site or virtual tour.
Thanks again... Rob

I am extremely interested in this module! I would love to see what is shown at the link above. Like rporetti said, a place to link to a virtual tour would be great as well.
Please give us an update on its progress!
